How is Danny’s Art Created

Danny carefully hand moulds coloured polymer clay in a unique way to create her art pieces. Once her artwork has come to life, it is baked in the oven, cooled, and then it is adhered to a wooden board. Danny creates her art pieces using reference photos and is guided by the way she is feeling and how she wants to express what she is creating at the time. This ensures that even if she uses the same reference photo each piece of her work is unique and original.

Commissions

If you wish to commission an art piece please get in contact with Danny.

You can discuss what design you would like (e.g. bird, animal, foliage, scene), the size of the art itself (keep in mind Danny is restricted by oven size) and which board you would prefer to adhere it to. A commission can take from 1 to 5 months depending on how large and detailed the art piece is. The cost of the art piece is determined by how long it takes to create, the detailing, and what materials are used to create it. Danny can give you a rough estimate on pricing or work to a reasonable budget. Danny can keep you updated during the process so that the art piece does not cost over your budget. Please note that if you wish to make changes to your art piece this can only be done before the clay is baked, if it is structurally okay to do so, and may incur additional costs.

Care Instructions

Avoid touching and placing objects on your artwork. For general up keeping, blow dust away using a hair dryer on the cold setting, this should prevent dust build up. Alternatively brush the artwork using a fine bristled paint brush or wipe the smoother surfaces delicately with a damp cloth, be careful of catching or pressing on any loose or sharp pieces of clay which could snap with force.

How to Display

Danny’s Art pieces do not come framed behind glass and It is up to the buyer whether they would like to frame it. However Danny recommends not getting it framed behind glass due to the frame casting unwanted shadows on the art piece and the loss of visual texture from light as the art piece will be hidden behind glass. Danny’s polymer clay art comes adhered to a wooden board. See below for display options.
