Our Friendly Neighbour
"Our friendly Neighbour" was inspired by the incredible friendliness of our favourite Neighbours, the New Zealand Native Fantail or Pīwakawaka! The neutral wooden background surrounded by a bold white frame compliments the earthy hues of the delicately textured Pīwakawaka, perched amongst the radiant greens and yellows of the thickly moulded Kowhai.

Danny developed her own moulding technique to create unique, detailed art pieces out of polymer clay. By mixing the coloured polymer clay and by adding texture she creates depth which gives life to each design. Each piece is carefully hand sculpted then baked to harden, once baked they are glued mostly to a wooden surface for hanging.
